Simple and orthodox.
Designed to let the simplicity of the shape achieve purity of function.

We’re really proud of letting the shape of our clubs speak for how they perform. Form is function, and we approach club design aiming to eliminate inconsistencies between the appearance of the club and the way it plays. The “SF206” is no exception.
Using this concept, we put a large focus on achieving the purest fairway wood performance features through CG balancing and advances in crafting using the newest materials. These advances allow us to realize a natural club-head shape, without compromises with tungsten weighting and such. For instance, the low, deep CG is attained by forming the crown as thinly as absolutely possible with a thick sole that thins out towards the face. The MOI is also top class, achieved in part through a laser-welded, 2.2 mm-thick 455 steel face.
The part we had a lot of trouble with was connecting the head, face, and neck. To maintain a smooth form-factor we went through a lot of trial builds to find the right balance. The result is an attractive shape, with a square, easy-to-align club for nailing your shots. That in itself is proof enough that form is function. I couldn’t be happier when players tell me that they feel exactly the same way. |
